Counter-Drone

Are you affected by drones? As the proliferation of drones increase, so do the chances of unwanted drone incursions. Today airports, prisons, power plants, data centers, and many more, face the risk of illegal and unwanted drone operations in its airspace perimeter. Skysense offers SAPP, a suite of counter-drone products capable of detecting and tracking drones and their pilots. What product to select depends on the specific needs and type of perimeter.

SAPP “listens” (passively ) to the radio traffic and detects and tracks drones up to 3 km away. SAPP plots the position of the drone and the pilot on a map. Through early detection, as well as verification capabilities with automatically positioned PTZ cameras, SAPP enables unique situational awareness. With a visual verification appropriate actions can be taken.

The ONVIF-compatible stream supports integration with various video management systems, e.g. Milestone Xprotect, Bosch VMS and Genetech. For customers not allowing IP connectivity, SAPP may also be integrated using analog video and relay outputs. As an alternative to sometimes costly cable routing, SAPP can use 4G routers communicating via secure VPN.

Aircraft Surveillance

ADS-B (Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast)

ADS-B is a tracking technology for manned and unmanned aircraft that has been introduced as a potential replacement for secondary surveillance radar in air traffic control, as well as a method for integration of drones into manned airspace and a component of UTM (unmanned traffic management) systems.

Satellite as a Service

Aircraft traversing uncontrolled airspace, such as the Seven Seas, cannot reach the ground station using its ADS-B-transponder. The reason is simply that the distance between the aircraft and the ground receiver is too long. Instead, a satellite-based service called ADS-Cis adopted by the airliners. Every 5-20 minutes, the aircraft sends a (aircraft position) report via satellite to a ground station and then forwarded to control towers and other users.

Skysense is operating ground stations across the globe fetching aircraft position reports from all satellites managing ADS-C. Our offering is simple and hassle-free. We send you the data in real-time over a secure IP-link. Contact us to discuss how we can help your business harness data from ADS-C.
